Mike Donovan serves as a General Partner and a member of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe's (WCAS) Management Committee. Over his 25-year career in investing, Mike has focused primarily on the software and tech-enabled services industries, nurturing relationships with management teams and founders to collaboratively drive the growth and success of market-leading technology companies.
Mike joined WCAS in 2001 and has invested in numerous companies across a broad range of sectors, including telematics, low-code development, Federal IT, healthcare IT, supply chain management, and cyber security. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Absorb LMS, GovCIO, Quickbase, and TrueCommerce. His former board roles include WCAS investments in Alert Logic, Intoxalock, Lytx, Matrix Medical Network, MedAssets, Simeio Solutions, and Valor Communications. Before joining WCAS, he worked at Windward Capital and in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch.
Beyond his professional commitments, Mike is a dedicated supporter of Our House, Inc., an organization that provides services to and champions the cause of adults with developmental disabilities. Living with his wife and three children, Mike enjoys a balanced life filled with golf, watching college basketball, and spending time with his family.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University.
