Burke explains some of the struggles that she deals with in daily life as a little person who is 105 centimeters tall. She highlights how current design thinking for public spaces inhibits her ability to do things for herself and impinges on her dignity and freedom of self expression. A great talk for schools or workplaces aiming to encourage disability awareness and empathy, Burke’s presentation is a moving call to change the way we think about accessibility, diversity and inclusion.

Reasonable Suspicion

Reasonable suspicion occurrences are becoming more prevalent in the workplace. Reasonable suspicion in the workplace is when an employee is observed or suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, which can impair their motor functions at work. This course explains the signs and symptoms that should make you report a reasonable suspicion to a supervisor and/or your human resources department and details how an investigation should be carried out.

The financial abuse of elders in our communities is a growing concern. Our Adult Financial Abuse course explores why it happens and what you can do to help. In this course, we'll begin by explaining what financial abuse is and provide examples of what it may look like. We'll go over the warning signs of financial abuse and the training that frontline bank employees should receive in order to recognize financial abuse of their clients. We'll also review what you can do if you suspect financial abuse. This course includes a video presentation, downloadable supplementary material and a short quiz to test your knowledge.
