National Disability Employment Awareness Month (U.S.)

According to the Center for Disease Control, about 26% of adults in the United States have some type of disability. Learning about and observing days that bring awareness to specific social issues is one way to foster inclusion, empathy, and allyship in both your work environment and community. In this course, you’ll learn the significance and origins of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. You’ll also learn about the history of disability employment legislation and the contributions of influential people with disabilities in the U.S. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify ways to participate in this observance.
