Schedule A: Add-on Definitions

These definitions govern the scope of service included with each respective add-on product. Only those add-ons listed in the Order Form will be delivered to the Client. Additional add-ons can be purchased at any time during or after the initial LMS implementation. 

Developing or reviewing Client code is outside of the scope of Absorb’s Professional Services.

RESTful API

Includes up to 3 hours of consultation with Absorb’s Professional Services team. Our team can advise on workflows, best practices and recommended API calls for your use case in relation to Absorb’s RESTful API. The client is responsible for code development work. 

Single Sign-On

Includes up to 3 hours of consultation with Absorb’s Professional Services team to configure Single Sign-On (SSO) between Absorb and another system. Our team can advise on workflows, assist in Client’s Identity Provider configuration, and help to troubleshoot. 

Historical Data Import

A one-time migration of existing data and content into Absorb LMS, typically from another LMS. Includes up to 15 hours of time with Absorb’s Professional Services team and up to 1 additional hour of change requests post-implementation. This timeline is sufficient to import all necessary data and up to 2000 content files. Content files may include zip files in SCORM/Tin Can/AICC format, video files (MP4/WEBM), PDF’s, and any other file types supported for upload into the Absorb LMS. Our team will assist you with scoping the project, establishing timelines, providing best practice guidance, setting up a process for you to import your content and data files in the Absorb LMS, testing these files in a sandbox environment (up to 3 test cycles), and deploying to production. On receiving a request for import of more than 2000 files or if a high level of complexity is involved, Absorb will arrange a needs assessment and will provide a custom quote. Client is responsible for extracting and transforming data and content files to the CSV or TXT file format,  required values, mapping as defined in the Absorb Data Mapping Document (which is available on the Absorb helpdesk site), and providing any other data as required by Absorb team in a timely manner.

Scheduled Data Import

A recurring import of data into Absorb. This is most often used to import user data from an HRIS system daily but can be from any system if files can be provided in the appropriate format. Includes up to 10 hours of time with Absorb’s Professional Services team and up to 1 additional hour of change requests post-implementation. Our team will assist you with scoping the project, establishing timelines, best practice guidance, preparing your data files, testing these files in a sandbox environment (up to 3 full tests), deploying to production, configuring timing for the integration, and provisioning an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site if needed. Client is responsible for extracting and transforming data to the CSV or TXT file format, required values and mapping as defined in the Absorb Data Mapping Document, which is available on the Absorb helpdesk site. Files must be dropped to an FTP site (Absorb or Client hosted), for automated pick up and processing by Absorb.

Scheduled Data Export

A recurring export of data in CSV file format from Absorb to another system, typically daily. Includes 6 hours of time with Absorb’s Professional Services team. Our team will assist you with scoping the project, establishing timelines, creating sample files in a sandbox environment, deploying to production, configuring timing for the integration, and provisioning an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site if needed. In general, most data that is stored in Absorb can be exported in some form, however, our team will discuss your specific needs and any potential concerns during scoping. Files can be emailed and/or delivered to an FTP site (Absorb or Client hosted) at an agreed upon frequency.

Custom Integration Development

Custom development provides an alternate method to import, export or update data for clients who may have complex or novel requirements that do not fall within our normal import or export offerings. All custom development requests are scoped by Absorb’s Professional Services team and quoted at an hourly rate as noted below. Our team will assist you with scoping the project, establishing timelines, testing data files in a sandbox environment and deploying them to production.

Data/File Restore (Custom)

Allows direct querying of a copy of your LMS data which can be used in conjunction with an external Business Intelligence tool. Absorb’s Professional Services team provides consulting on how best to retrieve specific data from the LMS. Up to 10 hours of consulting time are included. Developing or reviewing Client code outside of basic SQL queries is outside of the scope of this service.

Direct Database Access

Allows direct querying of a copy of your LMS data which can be used in conjunction with an external Business Intelligence tool. Absorb’s Professional Services team provides consulting on how best to retrieve specific data from the LMS. Up to 10 hours of consulting time are included. Developing or reviewing Client code outside of basic SQL queries is outside of the scope of this service.

Salesforce Connector Setup

Includes up to 6 hours of consultation with Absorb’s Professional Services team. Our team can advise on workflows, best practices and recommended solutions for your use case in relation to Absorb’s Salesforce Connector. Our team will assist with both sandbox and production installation and configuration of the connector. The client is responsible for any required code development work. 

Analyze Setup

Includes either 2 or 4 hours of consultation with Absorb’s Professional Services team (depending on service package). Our team can advise on best practices and recommended solutions for your use case in relation to Absorb Analyze.

Training

Additional training services can be purchased either as part of your initial implementation or afterwards for refresher or new admin training. 

Professional Services – Hourly

Our team can scope and provide a free quote for other services. Some examples:

• One-time data import, export, or update: This can include but is not limited to bulk exports of enrollment history, bulk updates to user data, changing course settings, adding new courses, deleting enrollments in bulk, etc. 
• Change requests: Changes to existing scheduled imports or exports. This can include but is not limited to adding new fields to an import, removing fields, adding new types of data to an import etc. 
• Additional technical consultation: Additional assistance with RESTful API, SSO, Direct Database Access, Absorb’s Salesforce Connector, etc.
• Additional design work: Additional assistance with learner interface or certificate of completion branding.

Some services cannot be fulfilled by Professional services alone. These will be scoped and priced as Custom Integration Development, as outlined elsewhere in this document.

Hourly Rates

Unless otherwise specified above, additional Professional Service hours outside of the ones included and described above per service will be quoted and charged at the following hourly rates and with the following minimum number of hours attached:
