  • Expiry: 4-hour sliding window, can be extended 20 times

02. Type of Cookie: user centric security

  • Source: AbsorbLMS
  • Purpose: Detect and block cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
  • Expiry: For the duration of a session (or slightly longer). The cookie we set for this purpose is automatically removed from your device once you close your browser.
  • How to Block: Blocking this type of cookies will make the application unusable.

03. Type of Cookie: user interface customisation

  • Source: AbsorbLMS
  • Purpose: Cookies such as language, font preferences and data transferred between web pages.
  • Expiry: For the duration of a session (or slightly longer). The cookie we set for this purpose is automatically removed from your device once you close your browser.
  • How to Block: Blocking this type of cookies will make the application unusable.

04. Type of Cookie: user-interaction third party

  • Source: Google Analytics
  • Purpose: Measure how users interact with website content.
  • Expiry: Between 10 minutes and 2 years.
  • How to Block: This cookie on AbsorbLMS portal is disabled by default. It can be removed/disabled using AbsorbLMS admin interface. Or you can change your browser settings to accept or refuse these cookies. As the means vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.

05. Type of Cookie: multimedia content player

  • Source: AbsorbLMS and third-party (based on the learning content)
  • Purpose: Cookies, used to store technical data to play back video or audio content, for the duration of the session.
  • Expiry: Varies, depending on values embedded in course content (third-party settings).
  • How to Block: You can change your browser settings to accept or refuse these cookies. As the means vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.
